a train is winding its way to a village a lost dog is on the side of the road wind rattling ice on the trees in the snow nobody know where goes a broken umbrella will you live or die or just grow old blackbird sitting on a crooked fence post findinglovefindinglovefindingloveeverywherefindinglove playing checkers with the fast mall walkers or waiting off behind a sun drenched fold a woman thinkin bout her bathing suit body in the cold and the craters on the moon are crying and the tears roll down into the cracks of our souls a man with a gun is hiding behind a wall findinglovefindinglovefindingloveeverywherefindinglove findinglovefindinglovefindingloveeverywherefindinglove there's no telling the wrong turns that we have taken or the false confessions that we have told like striking poses in the mirror at night singing "sold" you could search entire earths forever finding shadows of the heart untold every inch of the darkness is full of gold findinglovefindinglovefindingloveeverywherefindinglove findinglovefindinglovefindingloveeverywherefindinglove

the sun in the morning is so beautiful the moon is so far it's not even real the wind when you speak is full of heaven and I wish I could feel what I feel The night like a lion comes and goes again the rain on an orchard rolls just like a wheel a touch on the cheek or out and lonely through the week yeah I wish I could feel what I feel I feel what I feel like a blown up balloon in the night blowin round won't let it be the smile on a child or a garden in the spring are full of the life no one can conceal the size of the sea is unbelievable to me and I wish I could feel what I feel yeah I wish I could feel what I feel

late in the night when I was ten I'd sneak out across the fence behind the house into the woods I'd walk alone beside the creek until I saw the tombstones there all the Zombies were my friends Zombie say hey hey hey how long can you stay Zombie say ooooooooo years later I think I was fourteen we'd roam the night defacing churches and burning the school down we had a lot of real good laughs but I admit the Zombies never understood my wave of violence Zombie say hey hey hey how long can you stay Zombie say ooooooooo and when I was twenty-one that's when I came to decide that I could live just for the daylight and I believed that they were gone but like a friend who knows you well a Zombie waits til you come around the Zombies really haven't changed they came around the other day to see if I was still alive we smoked a joint and looked around and talked about the nights we'd laugh under the moon until the dawn Zombie say hey hey hey how long can you stay Zombie say ooooooooo

Nocturne 02:15
he turns the light on in the night makes him not feel so all alone and calms the whisper and the moan the shadows and the light make him imagine being grown into a world as hard as stone and though he'll know the way the turns are never clear and for a time he could find himself wandering the days away until a dream in the night makes him remember where he's been makes him recall those days and then he'll turn on the light and he'll feel not so alone and he'll not feel so all alone again

Road Song 05:39
watch and wait wait and see watch and wait wait and see for now history hides in empty rooms hangs on tight and shows the way but now the circle's in the square the mind is up for air and light ice and snow cover everything children know a place to hide far below where you can cheat a friend the golden glow fades to light and now the circle's in the square the mind is up for air and light

Tom 04:08
he never saw the water look so still and not a sound at all beneath him looking out beyond the window sill he realized this was all her gentle ways were his relief her light come shining through the trees would beckon him oh and to watch her sleep was his religion body rise and falling with the waves and underneath the hunger calls she flowed like water though his life a perfect beautiful reflection the wind would sometimes whisper "Tom, be careful" oh but to watch her sleep was his religion body rise and falling with the waves and underneath the hunger calls oh and the waves were screaming in the darkness and the tears were crashing all around oh and he was purified in sadness and underneath him not a sound

High Road 04:26
I can't wait to be walkin on the high road looking down on what I've made I can't wait til I feel the weight of my load lift up off my shoulders and fade walkin the high road walkin the high road walkin the high road I can't wait til the people of the lowlands feel it coming down like rain I'll be sending out an intoxicating whisper gonna slip my secret straight to the vein walkin the high road walkin the high road walkin the high road everybody's fighting but no one ever wins everybody's fighting but nobody ever wins show me your emotions and I'll give em just a little spin I can't wait to be walkin on the high road looking down on what I've made I can't wait til I feel the weight of my load lift up off my shoulders and fade walkin the high road walkin the high road walkin the high road

I Don't Know 02:48
I don't know I don't know where we go I don't know you have to learn to lose the things you love so much and learn to let go of the people that you love and you must listen to the demons in your head if you want to beat them but don't believe them I used to think I knew but I don't know

Maybe A Song 06:07
give me something sweet and true to hang my troubles on maybe a song maybe a song give me something bright and real to prove my worries wrong and tell me I belong maybe a song and when my hopes have washed away give me something to go on for and when my dreams have gone astray give me something I can long for anyday, anyway, everywhere give me something to believe so that I can carry on maybe true love but true love can go wrong oh and true love can go wrong maybe a song

about

My earliest memory as a child was falling asleep listening to the sound of my heartbeat echoing in my pillow. In my half-asleep state, the rhythmic pulsing would morph into the footsteps of a small group of camels. I would watch them from a bird's eye view. Though they were crossing a great desert on the other side of the world, their arrival was certain. There was a sense of immediacy I felt whenever I would see them. As consistent as the beats of my heart, their footsteps would bring them closer at each instant. I knew that they were coming for me, and that one day they would arrive. Decades have passed and now their arrival feels more imminent than ever.
